A-Track was born as Alain Macklovitch on 30 March 1982, to a Canadian father Lison Benmouyal Macklovitch. He was born and raised in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, along with his brother David Macklovitch. Talking about his nationality, he is a Canadian and belongs to Caucasian ethnicity. He won the DMC World DJ Championship at the age of 15, which made him the youngest and first Canadian winner of the competition.
In 2004, A-Track was booked to play a show at a tiny record shop in London. He played there for Kanye West and John Legend.
