American singer, actress, and fashion designer Jessica Simpson is truly an appropriate example of a multidisciplinarian. Started her career when she was 16, Jessica has struck a deal with five major record labels that include Columbia, Epic, Primary, Wave, and BMG. Active since 1998, her album ReJoyce: The Christmas Album has earned a gold certification from the RIAA.
Adored all over the world, Jessica Simpson has been involved in many other endeavors than music and generates a lot of revenue. Curious, my friend? We're here to help. But before that, let's take you on a journey of her life.
During as her time in the church choir, she was discovered by the head of a Christian Record label. She soon started working on her debut album with Proclaim Records. Her album Jessica was never released as Proclaim Records went bankrupt. Despite this, Jessica was sent to several other labels and producers.
She ultimately caught the attention of Tommy Mottola, the former husband of Mariah Carey, and the head of Columbia Records. Mottola hoped to market Simpson in a different way than Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. This was the time when he met Nick Lachey, her former husband.
Finally, her debut album Sweet Kisses was released in 1999. The album sold more than 65,000 copies worldwide in the first week of its release. Simpson was a part of the Heat It Up Tour with Nick's band 98 Degrees. Her second studio album, Irresistible was released in 2001. Her third studio album In This Skin, was released in 2003.
Jessica's father pitched an idea to MTV about a reality TV starring the couple which resulted in Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. She made her movie debut in The Dukes of Hazzard. Since then, she has appeared in movies like Employee of the Month, Blonde Ambition, and Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous.
In 2006, she founded a fashion line The Jessica Simpson Collection for women and children. Besides clothing, they also sold handbags, sunglasses, accessories, jewelry, shoes, and fragrances. Initially, the brand was a collaboration with Vince Camuto. The brand's commercial success went through the roof and Jessica kept adding on.

The brand is carried in 650 department stores across the United States. Regarding her brand's success, she said:
"When it comes to other celebrity brands, I think a lot of people do a great job, but it can't be all about them. Everybody doesn't want to just look like the celebrity, because they can't. They just want one element of that style."
Well, she isn't wrong you know.
It is already obvious that Jessica Simpson earns a lot of money and has numerous assets. In 2013, Simpson bought Ozzy Osbourne's house for $11.5 million. She also owned a house in Beverly Hills worth $13 million. As of now, both her homes are sold, one of them to Jennifer Lawrence. When it comes to cars, she owns a Bentley Continental GTC Mulliner, a Cadillac Escalade, and a Range Rover.
The talented diva is worth a whopping $150 million and her brand is expected to reach $1 billion in annual sales.
