Ahmad Rashad is a former NFL wide receiver and All-American who played for the Cardinals, Bills, and Vikings. After retiring, he became a sportscaster and host for NBC's NBA and NFL coverage. He also founded a charitable golf tournament and serves on the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center board.
Ahmad Rashad got married for the first time to Deidre Waters in 1969. They have one daughter, Keva, born in 1970, and a son, Sean, together. They got separated and later on March 22, 1976, he married Matilda Johnson. They have two children together; daughter Maiyisha (born 1976) and son Ahmad Jr. (born 1978).
They divorced in the year 1979. It was the year 1985 when Rashad married for the third time actress Phylicia Ayers-Allen.

In November 1970, Rashad was found guilty and charged with felony theft. It occurred when he was attending his junior year in college. He played as wide receiver and running back when he was All-American in 1971. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on May 9, 2007. He is also the fourth player selected in the 1972 National Football League draft.
