At the age of 16, Albert Pujols shifted to the United States from the Dominican Republic along with his family and settled in Independence, Missouri. Speaking little English, his transitions to life in America was helped by baseball career and he turned out to be a phenomenon from the start. 

Albert batted over 500 in his first season at "Fort Osage High School" in Independence and earned all-state honors twice and fro the same school, he did his schooling. Later, he joined Maple Woods Community College in the Kansas City, where he played baseball for one season before St. Louis Cardinals selected him. He played for the Cardinals for 11 seasons, contributing to two World Series championships. He was also chosen as the NL Rookie of the Year in 2001, being the Rookie of Cardinals.

Further, Albert made a 10-year contract with the Los Angels and regarded as one of a hard hitter, who has skills of a "combination of contact hitting ability, patience, and raw power. He is the winner of six Silver Slugger and also has twice led the NL in home runs. His batting average is 305, walk rate is 11.2%, and Isolated Power is 256. He is also considered as a strong future candidate for the Hall of Fame.
