Armand Anthony Asante Jr. was October 4, 1949. His current age is 66.   He was born in New York City, His ancestor is from Italy. He is from a catholic background.  He was married to Karen McArn from 1982 to 1994. He is a very dedicated husband and a loving father of his two daughters.

He started his career from NBC Soap operas, How to Survive a Marriage as Johnny McGee and The Doctors as Dr. Mike Powers. His first screen role was playing Sylvester Stallone’s brother in Paradise Alley. A role that made him star came in 1980’s Private Benjamin as handsome Frenchman who becomes the Love interest of a U.S, a soldier played by Goldie Hawn. His movies include How to Survive a Marriage, The Lords of Flatbush, First Ladies Diaries: Rachel Jackson, The Doctors, and Kojak.

His look has made him popular to play tough-Guy heroes, as in his starring role as private eye Mike Hammer in the film I, the Jury ( 1982) or as Mafia gangsters such as Michael Moretti in Sidney Sheldon’s Rage of Angels. In the same following years, he was seen as mafia boss Carol D ‘Allesandro in Hoffa (1992). 

In addition to mafia and “tough-guy” roles, he has been seen in historic dramas, such as Napoleon Bonaparte in 1987’s Napoleon and Josephine, a Love Story. In 2007, he appeared in American Gangster with Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. He has appeared in the 2009 horror film Smile as the mysterious Tollinger. He has participated in several film projects and humanitarian projects outside the U.S.A, the countries are Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Macedonia, Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia- Herzegovina, Romania, and Bulgaria.
