Alicia Augello-Cook was born on January 25, 1981, in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA. Her mother Terria Joseph was an actress, whereas her father Craig Cook was a flight attendant. At the age of two, her parents divorced and she was raised by her single mother in Manhattan. 

2010

Married with Swizz Beatz

She and rapper and producer, Swizz Beatz were married on 31 July 2010.  The two have been loyal to each other. There are no any issues seen in their relationship till present. The couple has been blessed with two children named,  Egypt Daoud Dean and Genesis Ali Dean.

Debuted album Songs in A Minor

Keys made her first television appearance on "The Cosby Show" in the year  1985 as a four-year-old child. Which was created by  Ed, Weinberger, Michael Leeson and Bill Cosby. The Cosby Show was based on comedy routines in Cosby's stand-up act, which in turn were based on his family life.

Debuted in the film Smokin' Aces

Alicia keys made her film debut in the British-American action-crime film  "Smokin' Aces" in 2006. The film was written and directed by Joe Carnahan. And produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner.The film is set in Lake Tahoe and was mainly filmed at the MontBleu casino.

2005

Won five Grammy Awards

The gorgeous singer Alicia Keys able to received 5 Grammy Awards in the year 2005, as the only the second American singer to win as many in one night.  She also earned 18 NAACP Image Awards, 9 Billboard Music Awards and 7 BET Awards.

Alicia Keys released her first studio album "Songs in A Minor". It has gone on to become one of the most successful and influential R&B albums of all time. December 2003, began a busy time for Keys as she released her second album. The Diary of Alicia Keys went certified four times platinum and broke records across the board. Alicia released a book of poetry and lyrics called Tears for Water: Songbook of Poems and Lyrics, which became a New York Times bestseller. Regarding her nationality and ethnicity, she is an Irish, Italian and African-American ethnicity. Moving Alicia's personal life she is a happily married woman. She and her husband rapper and producer,  Swizz Beatz has been married since  31 July 2010. The couple has two children together. In  2013, her net worth was thought to be around $130 million.
