Allyson Felix was born in the mid 1980s in California, New York. Her mother, Marlean is an elementary school teacher at Balboa Management Elementary and her father, Paul is an ordained minister and professor of New Testament at The Master’s Seminary. She has also a nickname as “Chicken Legs.”

2003

Graduated from Los Angeles Baptist High School

Allyson graduated from Los Angeles Baptist High School, California in 2003. While she was in ninth grade she began to recognize her athletic talents and then she tried out for track. She graduated from there with a degree in elementary education.

2004

Won gold medal at 2004 Summer Olympics

Just at the age of 18 she competed in 2004 Summer Olympics and finished as a Silver medalist in 200 meters, behind Veronica Campbell of Jamaica. She finished her run in 22.18 seconds and made a World Junior record over 200 meters.

2005

Competed in World’s Championship in Helsinki in 2005

Allyson competed at World’s Championship in Helsinki in 2005 and finished as a gold medalist in 200 meters. She was just 19, during that time and she became the world’s youngest gold medalist. After two years, she successfully defended her at Osaka.

2008

Competed in 2008 Olympics

Allyson competed in Olympics, Beijing in 2008 and again finished as silver medalist in 200 meters. She was again behind by Jamaican Veronica Campbell. But she finished as a gold medalist in 4 x 400 meters relay as a member of the U.S. women’s team.

2009

Competed in World’s Championship, Berlin (2009)

Allyson competed in World’s Championship, Berlin (2009). She finished as a gold medalist in 200 meters and 4 x 400 meters. She completed her 200 meters run at 22.02 seconds to beat Jamaica’s Olympic gold medalist Veronica Campbell-Brown.

2011

Competed in World’s Championship, Daegu (2011)

Allyson again competed in World’s Championship, Daegu (2011). She won two gold medals in 4 x 100 m relay and 4 x 400 m relay. She was a member in team USA in relay. She also participated in 200 and 400 meters but she didn’t finish as a winner in those competition.

2012

Competed in 2012 London Olympics

Allyson gain competed in 2012 London Olympics and finished as a gold medalist in 4 x 100 m relay and 4 x 400 m relay.  She was the member of U.S. team in the relay. She also competed in 100 m and 200 m and finished 5th in 100 m and gold medal in 200 m.

2015

Competed in World’s Championship, Beijing

In the year 2015, she competed in World’s Championship, Beijing. She finished as a gold medalist in 400 m run. It was her first gold medal in 400 m run. By doing so, she became the first woman to win gold medal in both 200m and 400m.

2016

Competed in 2016 Olympics

In the year 2016, she competed in 2016 Olympics at Rio de Janerio, Brazil. She finished as a gold medalist in 4 x 100 m relay and 4 x 400 m relay, where she was the member of U.S. team. She also competed in 200m and 400m but couldn’t finish as a winner.
