Amber Theoharis' first baby's story

During her first pregnancy, Theoharis gave birth to a premature baby. Her first baby Dylan Mattea was born almost three months before her delivery date. The baby weighed only 2 pounds and 10 ounces. The couple had hardly hoped that baby Dylan would survive. According to Theoharis, Dylan’s first diapers were as small as one graham cracker square. She recalls that the first 48 hours of Dylan’s birth were very critical.

During a game at Camden Yards, Theoharis said: "When she made it past the first 48 hours, I remember the nurses telling us that was a good sign," Her first daughter Dylan turned out to be a fighter. According to doctors, only a few survive during premature birth like Dylan. It seems like Dylan was a lucky baby girl.
At present, her daughter is a very healthy child. She is growing with so much of love from both her parents. She is also a very loving elder sister to her brother and sister.

Theoharis says that she is really proud of her daughter. "She fought her way into this world, and she's been a fighter ever since," Theoharis said. "You can see in her eyes she wants to be here, she's happy to be here. She just takes things in and is slowly catching up."
