Joan Lunden is an American journalist, author, and television host. The very talented and famous American journalist was born in Fair Oaks, California. She is currently working as a special correspondent for NBC's Today whereas she started her career in 1975 by joining New York's WABC-TV.

Joan Lunden married her first husband Michael A. Krauss back in 1978 and got divorced in 1992. The pair is yet to reveal the reason behind their divorce. Lunden is blessed with three children; all daughters with her first husband.

After around eight years of divorcing the first husband, Lunden got married to her second husband, Jeff Konigsberg in April 2000 with whom she has four children (with help of a surrogate mother).

Joan Lunden has been active in journalism since 1975 where she started working on Eyewitness News with WABC-TV. She started working as a feature news reporter with GMA in 1976 while later she became fill-in co-host of the program.

In 1978, the 22-year-old TV journalist Joan Lunden got married to Michael A. Krauss. She got a converted to Judaism while marrying him.

Michael Arthur Krauss is a television producer, a packager, and a radio interviewer who has experience as a company president of several companies. Joan Lunden remained in a relationship with Michael for 14 years before they parted ways in 1992.

Joan Lunden gave birth to three daughters; Jamie Beryl Krauss, Lindsay Leigh Krauss, and Sarah Emily Krauss with her first husband Michael.

Joan Lunden is currently living with Jeff Konigsberg and the couple is blessed with four children, two sets of twins. All four children were born with the help of a surrogate mother. 

The 67-year-old journalist had been diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently taking Chemotherapy to cure her cancer. She revealed the truth on June 24, 2014, on Good Morning America.

Joan Lunden' Career

Joan Lunden is a renowned American journalist who started her career with ABC News in 1975 and remained associated with it until 2000. During 1975-1980, she worked with the WABC as a reporter while she started anchoring for the channel one year later.

She became the ABC News correspondent in 1997 and she served as a correspondent for 3 years. Lunden took a long break from her work as host/ reporter from 2007 to 2014 while since September 2014, she has been working as a special correspondent on the NBC Today Show.

Joan Lunden has also acted in the film Conspiracy Theory, starring Julia Roberts, Mel Gibson, and Patrick Stewart.

During her career, she has been honored with several awards and titles. On March 28, 2016, she was announced to be presented the WWE's second annual Warrior Award at the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
