Storage Wars with a theme of "Money Owns This Town" features an auction settlement where professional buyers who visit storage facilities throughout the state. They bid for lockers kept in an auction when rent is not paid on a storage locker for three months in California.

Dave stated that the pickers come to his store to buy art at a low price, but Dave sells his pieces at a true price: upwards of $150,000.
