Andreas Johnsson is a Swedish professional ice hockey winger, who is currently playing for team Toronto Marlies in American Hockey league (AHL). He is active in the hockey industry player for more than 9 years.

Johnsson was born on 21st November 1994, in Gavel City, Sweden. He is the youngest child of the retired hockey player Jonas Johnsson. His older brother, Jonathan Johnson, is also a professional ice hockey player for Frölunda HC.

He first started his career as a hockey player in 2009 as he played for the team Frolunda U18. He played 7 years for the Frolunda and he recently started playing for Toronto Marlies began in 2016. He has been scoring a bit higher than his earlier career. During his career, he was also able to play for his country Sweden.

Andreas started playing hockey at a very young age with Gavle Godtemplares IK, which was founded on May 6, 1906, as a gymnastics and athletics club and was famous for its ice hockey team. While his father was still playing hockey, he joined HK kings from Kungsbacka and there he played for king’s senior team in division 3, which is also Sweden's fifth highest league.

In 2008, he represented Halland in TV-Pucken by collecting two assists in five games and the same year he joined the club in which his father was playing for though, the club was same he was placed for the junior team as he was a rookie player and was under 18.

For the team, in the J18 Elit south division, he achieved 13 assists and 17 goals in 19 games for a total of 30 points. In the Swedish U18 Championship playoffs, Johnson creation dropped scoring three points, and one goal in eight games as Frölunda won a bronze award.

Even though, he was able to make his debut as a hockey player with the under 20 team in J20 SuperElit. In the same season, he won the 2010 European Trophy Junior tournament with his team, scoring six goals and 16 points in 33 games in J20SuperElit. Further, he became a player who was successful in both U18 and U20 division. He was able to win Swedish championship with both his team.

During the 2011–12 season Johnson first observed activity with Frölunda's senior group, influencing his introduction in an exhibition to a game against the New York Rangers, where he scored an objective on his first shot against previous Frölunda guardian Henrik Lundqvist. He made his Elitserien with a big appearance on November 1 at Hovet, in a game against Djurgårdens IF.
