Anna Faris Talks on Marrying Boyfriend Michael Barrett After Divorce With Chris Pratt

American actress Anna Faris does not seem to have any plans to get married anytime soon. The 42 years old actress, who recently went through a divorce with her second husband Chris Pratt, is currently in a relationship with her boyfriend Michael Barrett.

In fact, the actress struggled to find words while speaking of her unsuccessful marriage with Chris Pratt during her appearance on Laura Wasser’s “Divorce Sucks" on Sunday, March 31. When asked about her wedding plans with cinematographer-boyfriend Michael Barrett, she said,

I will say, I believe in love and monogamy, and I believe in the commitment … with a relationship, but I do struggle, having gone through it a couple of times now, Laura, with the idea of our legal system,” she said. (Faris was also married to Ben Indra from 2004 to 2008.) “I struggle with that on kind of feminist level, actually.

Further, the actress also mentioned that she needs to think more carefully before saying "i do" again.

I am a romantic. I believe in a partnership, I believe in companionship. I just don’t know if I believe in a ceremony of a wedding, I need to figure out what the purpose is” before saying “I do” again. “Is it safety for your children? Is it convention? Is it so other people respect your relationship more? … For me, I’m just not quite sure where it fits.

Besides, talking about her separation with her ex-husband, she said it was a heartbreaking experience.

It is very difficult, of course, to be completely separate from somebody that you’ve spent so much … emotional investment with for a long period of time.”
