Annie Parisse was born on 31st July 1976 as Anne Marie Cancelmi in Anchorage, Alaska, United States of America to Louis G. "Lou" and Annette Cancelmi. She is an American and is of Italian, Syrian, Slovak and Polish descent.

After the completion of her high school graduation, Anna joined Fordham University. There she became active in acting by appearing in several productions like Medea and Antigone. In 1998, she made her professional acting debut by starring the role of Julia Snyder in the TV series As the World Turns.

She started her career appearing on the shows such as The Law & Order, Third Watch, Big Apple, and Friends. She appeared as Julia Synder, the cast of the CBS soap opera As the World Turns. She played the supporting role as of Demure Jeannie Ashcroft in “How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days”. She also appeared on minor roles, as agent Dawes in National Treasure and in supporting role in the 2005 film Monster-in-Law

She also made her final appearance on Law & Order on May 17, 2006. Later on, she started to appear on “Prelude to a Kiss”, “Revival of Craig Lucia”. Similarly, she appeared in various dramas such as The Pacific, Measure for Measure and All’s Well that Ends Well and also made a guest appearance on Person of Interest as Kara Stanton. She also narrated the 2010 war drama The Pacific and appeared in the New York Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park.

She joined the cast of TV series Freinds from College as Sam Delmonico, as one of the main casts, since 2017. In 2018, she will appear as Mary Kay Paterno in a TV film Happy Valley.

Annie married to Paul Sparks who is also an actor, and the couple welcomed their first child, son Emmett, and a daughter.
