Anthony Michael Bourdain was an American author, chef, and television personality. The American chef was best known for his shows like A Cook's Tour, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, and The Layover. He committed suicide on 8th June 2018 where he killed himself by hanging in a hotel in France.

He was born on June 25, 1956, in New York City and raised in Leonia, New Jersey. His parents were Pierre Bourdain (d. 1987), a classical music industry executive, and Gladys Bourdain (née Sackman), a staff editor for The New York Times.
