Arnold Palmer passed away on 25th September 2016 at the age of 87 because of heart problems. At the time of his death, he was waiting for heart surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He was admitted at the center to undergo testing of his heart three days before his death. But his heart problems got even more complicated which resulted in his death. 

After he died on the day, his body was cremated, and his ashes were scattered at Latrobe Country Club.

Likewise, after his death, his legacy was distributed between his second wife and two daughters. His employees also received $25,000 each and $10 million was donated to his charity Arnie's Amy.
