Artem Chigvintsev was born on 12th of June 1982, at Izhevsk, Udmurt Republic, RSFSR, Soviet Union. At the age of twenty-one, she headed towards the United States and began dancing with Giselle Peacock, a champion ballroom dancer.
He pursued his dancing career professionally with the first series of, “So You Think You Can Dance” but was eliminated with his fellow contestant, Melissa Vella. Later, he made his comeback as a guest choreographer for season 2.
Likewise, Chigvintsev also appeared in the eighth series of “Strictly Come Dancing” as a professional dancer, where he was partnered with Kara Tointon, an English actress. The dancing couple made it to the final along with their competitor: Pamela Stephenson and Matt Baker. Defeating Pamela and Matt, the duo made it as a winner and were crowned as a series champions for 2010.
Again, he joined the following season of Strictly Come dancing season and was partnered with Holly Valance but was eliminated in the Semi-Finals. In season 10, he was partnered with television presenter, Fern Britton and was eliminated in week 6. Similarly, in 11th series, he was partnered with Natalie Gumede and reached the finals becoming one of the runner-ups, losing to model Abbey Clancy.
After that, Chigvintsev appeared in the 18th season of “Dancing with the Stars” as a member of the Dance Troupe. Correspondingly, he appeared in 19th season with a celebrity partner, Lea Thompson; in 20th season with celebrity partner Patti LaBelle; in the 22nd season with celebrity partner Mischa Barton; in the 23rd season with celebrity partner Maureen McCormick; in the 24th season with celebrity partner Nancy Kerrigan, and finally in season 25 with celebrity partner Nikki Bella.
Chigvinstev also featured as a choreographer on “So You Think You Can Dance”.
As far as his relationship status is concerned, Artem Chigvintsev is single and unmarried. Previously he was married to his dancing partner Giselle Peacock. However, the couple separated just after a year of their marriage.
He then dated and lived together with his girlfriend Kara Tointon, but sadly separated after three years. After tragic separation with Tointon, he was involved in a love affair with Torrey Devitto.
