Barbara Mori Ochoa is a Mexican actress, model, producer, and writer. She started her acting career from Mirada De Mujer with TV Azteca in 1997. Mori has also starred in several self-produced films and music videos.
Barbara was born in Uruguay on 2 February 1978 to Yuyi Mori and Rosario Ochoa. Barbara’s parental grandfather was Japanese. Mori spent her childhood between Mexico and Uruguay with her siblings Kenya Mori (Actress) and Kintaro Mori after her parents divorced when she was three years old. At the age of twelve, she finally settled in Mexico City with her family.
At the age of fourteen, Mori got an offer from a Fashion designer Marcos Toledo for modeling when she was working as a waitress. She went to live with her cousins at the age of seventeen after being independent.
Mori studied acting at El Centro de Estudios de Formacion Actual. She made her television debut in Al Norte del Corazon. Mori then appeared in Tric Tac and Mirada de Mujer in 1997. Mori won her first TyvNovelas Award for Best New Actress for her role in Mirada de Mujer.
In 1998, Barbara got her first leading role in Azul Tequila, co-starring alongside Mauricio Ochmann, she portrayed the role of Azul. Kintaro Mori has then filmed in the series Me Muero Por Ti with Peruvian actor Christian Meier in Miami. She also acted in many Television shows, including the Telemundo telenovela Amor Descarado.

Mori also voiced Cappy in the Spanish version of the movie Robots.
In 2009, Mori starred alongside Leonardo Sbaraglia in a psychological crime thriller Amor, Dolor y Viceversa, a drama based on a female architect who gets involved in a murder. The drama was produced by Mori herself and received mixed feedback from critics and viewers.
Mori got the lead role in the 2011 action-drama Viento En Contra, where she played the successful and promising CIO role, co-starring with Hector Arredondo and Fernando Lujan. The drama was produced by Mori and was filmed in Mexico City and Valle de Bravo.
Barbara then got signed by Indian film producer Rakesh Roshan as the lead lady in his movie Kites opposite his own son, Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. The movie was shot in New Mexico, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles and was released on 21 May 2010.
Mori was diagnosed with cancer, and luckily she survived. In 2010, actress Namrata Singh Gujral released a documentary about Mori’s journey. In 1996, at nineteen, Mori met actor Sergio Mayer and began a relationship with him. The two have a son Sergio Mayer Mori, born in 1998, but they never married each other.
Barbara was in a relationship with Manolo Cardona from 2002 to 2005. She then dated Jose Maria Torre from 2006 to 2008. Barbara was in a relationship with Beto Cuevas for quite some time. However, they parted ways after a year of dating (2010-2011).
