Bernie grew up in Chicago, Illinois where he was raised by his single mother Mary. The following year he acted in the movie Who's the Man?. In 2001, he starred the role of Frank Catton in the movie Ocean's Eleven and he was critically acclaimed for this role. His breakthrough role came with the turn of 21st century and that was after he began hosting the TV show The Bernie Mac Show. He was also the cast of several movies and TV shows. His net worth was $15 million dollars at the time of his death.
