In 1988, Billy was hired as a bodyguard by actress Catherine Bach during the filming of her 1988's action/science fiction Driving Force.

Later he got the chance to be featured in the film Manila as he was able to impress the producers and writer of the movie.

His small roles were then followed by King of the Kickboxers, Bloodfist, The Last Boy Scout, Kiss the Girls, etc.  

Furthermore, Billy opened his karate studio in Quincy, Massachusetts where he runs Boxing, Taekwondo, and fitness activities.

He also established a fitness center in Los Angeles, where he attracted some celebrities and the popularity of workouts grew quickly.

He also released his mass-marketed videos which sold millions with grossing over $130 million.
