Falchuk graduated from Hobart and William Smith College in 1993. During his school years, he played baseball, basketball, and lacrosse, all the while still suffering from an undiagnosed case of dyslexia.

Falchuk began his TV career in 2001 as a writer for Mutant X and Earth: Final Conflict, before he was hired to work for the first season of Nip/Tuck in 2003.

While working on Nip/Tuck, he formed a close bond with the show’s creator Ryan Murphy. In 2008, Brad and Murphy both went to write the script for a TV series entitled Pretty/Handsome, which is about a transsexual gynecologist. The plot did not generate any interest and was shelved.

Then, Falchuk and Murphy began to look for their next project and decided to focus on a lighter subject. They teamed up with Ian Brennan, who had written a screenplay about a high school choir, to pitch an idea about a glee club to the Fox Broadcasting Company. Their move turned out to be a success and was turned into the television show Glee, which aired for the first time in 2009.

Glee's success led Falchuk, Murphy, and Brennan to receive two Writers Guild of American Award nominations for Best Comedy Series. Falchuk also went on to sign a two-year, seven-figure deal with 20th Century Fox Television.

Moving on to his personal life, in 2008, Falchuk was diagnosed by his father's medical consulting firm with a serious spinal cord problem. After undergoing emergency spinal surgery, he recovered fully. Falchuk's experiences with the disease inspired parts of the Glee episode Wheels. Apart from that, Brad has also opened up about his struggles with dyslexia and has spoken about the condition on numerous occasions.

Falchuk separated from television producer Suzanne Bukinik Falchuk, with whom he has two children, Brody and Isabella.

Brad Falchuk started dating Gwyneth Paltrow in 2014, when they were first seen together on a romantic weekend break. Back then, Falchuk was 46 years old and Paltrow was 45 years old. But according to sources, both Gwyneth and Brad met each other four years ago on the sets of Glee for which he was a producer.

Falchuk's relationship with the "Shakespeare in Love" actress Paltrow, once a Harvey Weinstein favorite, generated quite a lot of controversy. Given that they both were married back in 2010 when Brad and Gwyneth reportedly first bumped into each other, many have suggested that it was Brad who ended Gwyneth’s marriage with Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin.

The couple kept their relationship under wraps until September 2015, when they attended the L.A premiere of "Scream Queens" together. Both have children with their estranged spouses, a reason they might have trodden so carefully.

Since then, they have shared their moments together on social media a number of times. In 2016, Paltrow shared a collage on Instagram with Falchuk, writing, “I could not be more grateful for these people and those not pictured who bring love and laughs and heart to my life”

Though not as popular as his soon-to-be wife, Brad Falchuk is, nonetheless, well paid for what he does. Brad's net worth is around $20 million, most of which comes from writing and directing highly popular TV series like  Nip/Tuck and Glee.

He has not endorsed any brands so far. After he became popular as the boyfriend of the Hollywood actress, it surfaced that Brad had quietly paid $3.84 million for a luxury house in Malibu’s Las Tunas Beach.

The house was recently re-designed by L.A architect Bruce Bolander. It has four bedrooms and three full and two half bathrooms. Spread over 2,820 square feet of sleek, sun-flooded space, the house is finished with oak millwork and contains hot rolled steel and epoxy floors.

That's not all. Brad and his ex-wife Suzanne continued to co-own a modest house in the hiss above Sherman Oaks, San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles. They bought the residence after their marriage for a sum of  $670,000.

Brad also owns a luxurious, white Range Rover that he was seen in with Gwyneth by his side while both of them were on their way to attend Robert Downey Jr.'s 58 birthday bash.
