Bret is a product of St. Cloud State University, from where he set his foot in the world of ice hockey. Throughout his career, He played hockey with five teams including USA Olympic Men’s hockey team; St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, and Anaheim Ducks. He was one of the best defensemen for all of the teams that he played for. During that interval, he achieved awards of Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes and led his team to victory as they won the first ice hockey WCHA athletic conference.
