Brian Austin Green doesn't have time for haters! The Beverly Hills, 90210 star defended himself after being criticized for not paying a public tribute to his former co-star Luke Perry after his death.

On Thursday, March 14, Brian, 45, posted an Instagram video to promote a live taping of his "…With Brian Austin Green" podcast.

A user named Carrie Bristol apparently felt that the clip was insensitive, given the circumstances, and thus, she expressed her feelings on the comment section of the post.

She wrote, "RIP Luke Perry! I’m not sure how you could do this so soon."

Bristol added,

I haven’t seen anything from you about his passing, maybe I’ve missed it somewhere. Pretty much everyone else had something to say. It’s just not the same without #LukePerry and it seems pointless without him. So sad.

The actor, who portrayed David Silver on the ‘90s Fox television series, kept his mind cool and replied,

Thank you for your words. Thank you to everyone for sticking up for me but it’s not necessary. Carrie, the passing of Luke is terrible. As was said by many, everyone grieves in different ways. If it’s too soon for you to attend what is meant to be a fun night for the fans then you don’t have to. Everyone should respect everyone’s process.

Perry, who portrayed Dylan McKay on the show, passed away in a hospital in Los Angeles surrounded by his loved ones on March 4, five days after suffering a massive stroke in his home. He was 52.

Following his death, sources confirmed that the Riverdale star was secretly engaged to fiancee Wendy Madison. And again days later, it was confirmed that the couple was set to marry in August of upcoming summer.
