Cardi used to work as an employee at an Amidst supermarket in Lower Manhattan. And then, she became a stripper, which was recommended by her former supermarket manager. She said becoming a stripper was to escape from poverty and domestic violence. Her videos went viral on social media which earned her wide recognition and millions of subscriber.
Cardi B made her musical debut from Shaggy's single remix, Boom Boom. Later she made her own music video debut with the song, Cheap Ass Weave in 2015. After releasing several hit songs, she signed her first major record label recording with Atlantic Records in February 2017.

Moving towards her personal life, Cardi was dating publicly with her boyfriend Kiari Kendrell Cephus, well-known known as Offset; is an American hip hop recording artist. The couple started dating each other in early 2017.
Eventually, Offset purposed her during the Power 99 Powerhouse concert at the Wells Forgo Center in Philadelphia. On 27th October 2017, Cardi B and Offset got engaged and several TV networks offered them for broadcasting their special wedding ceremony nationally.
