Carrie was born in Adelaide, South Australia to Jennie Bickmore-Brand and Brian L. Bickmore. She moved to Perth, Western Australia along with her family at an early age.

2005

Became Best News presenter

Bickmore became the "Best News Presenter" finalist in the Australian Commercial Radio Awards. She along with Rebecca Leahy and Michael received this award for "Best Community Service Project - Metro", on behalf of Nova 100 radio station. 

2017

Began hosting Carrie & Tommy

Bickmore joined the Anglican girls' school Perth College. After that she moved to the Curtin University of Technology, where she studied journalism, graduating in 2000. Later, she went to Melbourne, Victoria, in 2001, to pursue her career in media.

Bickmore began her career as a newsreader on 92.9FM in Perth, where she started working as an emergency fill-in for a sick colleague. After sometimes, she was appointed as a regular newsreader for the station. Later, she started working at Nova 100, a radio station, as an afternoon newsreader. After a year, she became the co-host of the drive show alongside Andy Ross.
