She mentioned, she and her husband Kadeem fell in love with each other just after a short time soon after their first meeting. She told Noire that her husband Kadeem was a good husband as well as a loving father.

You already know that they had a daughter a year before their wedding; Sophia Hardison. The couple's marriage didn't last long. The couple were together for only over two years and eventually got divorced in 2000.
The reason for their divorce wasn't disclosed, but in an interview with Madame Noire, Kadeem's ex-wife, Chante mentioned that Kadeem was a good husband and a great father.
She told Madame Noire that
He appreciates for who I was and who I am and we grew together that’s what friendship is about whether or not we’re married or lovers or whatever the case is, you have to know who you're with and he and I spent a lot of time together.
The couple has been pretty protective of their personal life. Chante revealed back in 2013 that her ex-husband Kadeem was dating some other woman. Chante is quite okay about it, and there is no reason to be not okay with it as they are no longer together.
