Chris Hansen’s Wife Mary Joan Files for Divorce, Ends 30 Years of Marriage

Chris Hansen and Mary Joan Hansen have split! The To Catch a Predator host's wife has filed for divorce from him after 30 years of marriage.

As per the Radar Online report, Mary filed the divorce papers before her estranged husband's arrest. The pair, who tied the knot on November 18, 1989, share two children - both are sons - together.

Mary had already ended her relationship with Chris in June 2018. She claimed in court documents at the time that their "marriage has broken down irretrievably." She is seeking alimony and "a fair division of property and debts".

The estranged couple Chris and Mary met on Tuesday, January 15, to hash out "financial disputes". According to Radar Online, Chris and Mary will appear in court at the end of this month.

The news site also reports that Chris and Mary have been living separate lives adding that their relationship has been over for a long time.

The filing comes seven years after the television personality was caught cheating on his wife with television anchor Kristyn Caddell. They reportedly had a four-month affair.

As previously reported, the NBC host made headlines on Monday, January 14, after getting arrested and charged with issuing bouncing checks; he failed to pay $12,998.05 for merchandise.
