Attended James Madison High School

As Chris is a black guy, he suffered abuses, bullying and beating when he was in his high school. After this situation became worse, he dropped out from James Madison High School but was able to earn a GED.

In 1985, he made his acting debut by starring in the movie Krush Groove. However, this role was minor one. In 1987, he appeared in the comedy show Uptown Comedy Express. He also starred in the TV series Miami Vice that year.
