Dave Briggs was born on October 11, 1976, in the United States of American, to mother Christine Briggs. The identity of his father isn't released.

Dave graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Broadcast News. Dave started his professional career in the year 2002. In 2002, Dave secured a position at WHDH TV, after which he became a correspondent for NBC's Channel 7. He worked for the channel until 2008.

In 2008, Davis landed a spot in Fox News Channel as the co-host for Fox and Friends Weekend, alongside Alisyn Camerota and Clayton Morris.

In January 2013, Davis began co-hosting NBCSN's daily sports and pop culture show The Crossover with host Michelle Beadle. On February 23, 2017, Dave began co-hosting CNN's Early Start with Christine Romans.
