After four months of their engagement, they became parents to their first child, a son, Daniel Hiram Gibson. Later on May 21, 2011, the couple got married in a private ceremony.

Daniel and Keyshia exchanged their vows in September 2011 in Hawaii. The wedding ceremony was filmed and aired on their new BET reality TV series Keyshia and Daniel: Family First, on October 9 and 16, 2012.
But, unfortunately, the couple's relationship ended after Keyshia announced and confirmed that she and Gibson had broken up on March 21. 2014. Keyshia claimed that Gibson cheated on her which led to the end of their married life.
Even after the split, the couple didn't file for the divorce. But in April 2017, Cole announced that she and Gibson have filed for the divorce. However, the divorce is not finalized yet.
