Darryl Strawberry is a retired professional baseball player who spent 17 seasons (from 1983 to 1999) in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 12, 1962.
From 1983 to 1990, Darryl Strawberry was a member of the New York Mets, where he was named Rookie of the Year in 1983 and an important contributor to the squad that won the World Series in 1986.
