David Laid is an Estonian-American bodybuilder, fitness model, and social media personality. He is best known for his transformation videos on YouTube, where he is seen actively following his workout routine.
Due to his growing fame in social media, he became a Gymshark sponsored athlete and is also a New York-based model who does freelance modeling gigs and often is seen collaborating with other bodybuilders.
David Laid was born on January 29, 1998, in Estonia, and at the age of two, he lost his father in an accident after he fell from a cruise ship that was docked at the harbor. A few years later, he along with his mother Nino and brothers settled in New Jersey on the pretext of getting a better life. There he attended Mainland Regional High School.
Losing his father at the age of two, David Laid had issues of self-confidence which was further intensified by the bullying he suffered during his years in school. Moreover, at the age of 14, he was diagnosed with scoliosis, a disorder in the spine that can even lead to disability. Therefore, the doctors advised him to start weight training to build more muscle mass.
He enjoyed playing hockey while growing up but later stopped in order to focus on his physical training for muscle gain. He calls Hodgetwins, Marc Fitt, Jeff Seid, and Greg Plitt his inspiration for bodybuilding and often watched their transformation videos while growing up.
In order to gain his self-confidence and to feel comfortable in his own body, he started watching YouTube videos and started following diets for gaining body mass. Later on, he fell in love with the process and started uploading his transformation videos on YouTube itself.
