De’Aaron joined Cypress Lakes (Houston, Texas) college, where he played basketball as a Sophomore in the year 2013-14 and has averaged 22.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per games. After the completion of high school, he enrolled at the University of Kentucky and continued his basketball career and scored 21 points and 3 assists in a 93-69 victory over the Canisius College.
After a couple of years, De’Aaron became a top point guard and was ranked the consensus No. 6 overall player in the four main recruiting services, ESPN, Rivals, Scout, and 24/7 Sports. After a year, he scored 27 points and 6 assists in a 97-71 victory over Arkansas. Similarly, he scored 39 points against the UCLA Bruins.
