Dee Bradley Baker is an American actor best known for his vocalizations of animals in animated series such as Codename: Kids Next Door, American Dad!, Phineas and Ferb, Gravity Falls, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and The 7D films such as The Boxtrolls, and Space Jam.

Baker started his career in 1989 from an improv sketch comedy show titled ‘The Anacomical Players’. He was also nominated for Primetime Emmy Award in 2017 and has won many Behind the Voice Actors Awards.

Dee Bradley Baker was born in Bloomington, Indiana, on August 31, 1962, to father,  Edwin ‘Buddy’ Baker, and mother, Ann McCaslin Baker. He grew up alongside his siblings Amy Kathryn Brierley, and brother Christopher James Baker in Greely, Colorado.

Baker attended and graduated from the University High School with a Boettcher Scholarship. He then enrolled in Colorado College, where he studied Philosophy, biology, fine arts, and German.

He later moved overseas and studied in the University of Goettingen for a year. During that time, he was involved in singing groups and local theatre productions.

After graduating with a BA in philosophy, he also became involved in many community theatre projects which include a sketch movie that was aired on local public television.

Baker made his career debuted in 1989 comedy show The Anacomical Players, and later joined various other projects for Disney and Universal Studios.

Baker made his debut on national television on the Nickelodeon game show Legends of the Hidden Temple, where he was the announcer and the giant talking rock-god Olmec. Baker also did a voice-over on the Looney Tunes-themed movie Space Jam, where he voiced Daffy Duck and Taz alongside Billy West, Bob Bergen, Danny DeVito, Frank W. Welker, Kath Soucie, Bill Farmer. The other cast member of the film were Michael Jordan, Wayne Knight, Bill Murray, Larry Bird, Theresa Randle, and Charles Barkley.

He also voiced various episodes on The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, Johnny Bravo, SpongeBob Square Pants, Dexter’s Laboratory, and The Powerpuff Girls.

Baker also voiced Captain Jack Sparrow’s talking parrot in the Pirates of the Caribbean. 

In 2007, Baker got the lead role as Perry the Platypus in the Disney series Phineas and Ferb. He then starred in the 2008 American 3D science-fiction movie Stars Wars: The Clone Wars. He voiced the characters Captain Rex, Commander Cody, and Clone Troopers in the movie. 

The other movies Baker voiced in are Cats Don’t Dance (1997), My Brother the Pig (1999), Porco Rosso (2005), Happy Feet (2006), G-Force ( 2009), Astro Boy (2009), Secret of the Wings (2012), Dino Time (2013) and many more.
