Derek Charles Blasberg was born on April 22, 1982, in St. Louis, Missouri to Bill Blasberg and Carol Blasberg. He is of American nationality and belongs to white ethnicity.
Blasberg completed his high school in 2000 from Affton High School and graduated from New York University in 2004 with honors and a double degree in journalism and literature.
