Dolly was born in Sevier County, Tennessee, U.S. on Jan 19, 1946, as the daughter of Robert Lee Parton and Avie Lee who has twelve children. Dolly has six own brothers and five own sisters She was born as the fourth child. She described her childhood and family as "dirt poor".

Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame

In 1960, she recorded two songs "Puppy Love" and "Girl Left Alone."She wrote the songs with her uncle bill. Uncle bill was her the neighbor of Gold Band Records recording studio with whom he arranged Dolly's recording.

Dolly has also got various Hall of Fame honors, her first honor was in 1986 of Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. It was established in 1970 by the Nashville Songwriters Foundation, Inc .in Nashville, Tennessee, United States.

She was born in Sevier County, Tennessee, the U.S. on Jan 19, 1946, as the daughter of parents, father Robert Lee Parton and mother Avie Lee who has twelve children.

Dolly Rebecca married husband Carl Thomas Dean in Ringgold, Georgia in 1966. She and her husband are very happy and proud of their marriage as it has already been over 52 years, it is also the first marriage for the both of them and probably the last one too.

They do not have a child but they are the godmother of the singer Miley Cyrus, whose real parents are Billy Ray Cyrus and Leticia Jean Cyrus. The famed musician, Trace Cyrus is the brother of Miley.
