They said "I do" on Saturday, June 24, at an outdoor ceremony at Lake Waccabuc in upstate New York, with a reception in a large white tent.

Renowned faces including Mariska Hargitay, Zac Posen, and Debra Messing attended the wedding. Kirke wore a traditional lace dress with sheer inserts which became the major highlit of the event. While Penn showed up in formal dress, white shirt, and black pants.

Kirke and Penn don't have any children of their own. However, Kirke is a mother to a 9-year old child, a son named Cassius Riley.
Kirke welcomed Cassius with her ex-boyfriend, a musician, Morgan O'Kane. The family of three lives together in New York. They have an extra member in the family, their dog Terrence, who Penn says keeps the family all laughing.
