Don Omar

Don Omar, the stage name of William Omar Landrón Rivera, was born on February 10, 1978. He was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico to William Landrón and Luz Antonia Rivera.

2006

Album

Don's second album, King of Kings in May 2006 placed in top 10 US charts, with a first position as well as his  “Angelito, ranked number one on Billboard Latin Rhythm Radio.

2007

Selling over 4.1 million

In 2007, Don received the Billboard Latin Music Award for Reggaeton Album for King of Kings, the song created a history by being Latin America's best selling of a decade that sold over 4.1 million copies until 2009.

Don Omar's career rose to stardom with his first release, The Last Don. His both version, studio and live edition, certified platinum by “Recording Industry Association of America.” The Last Don Live sold over one million copies, worldwide and nominated for Urban Music Album in 2005, Latin Grammy Awards.

Then he came up with an another album King of Kings in May 2006, which became the highest ranking in the top 10 US charts, with the position at number one as well as became first hit on Billboard Latin Rhythm Radio with the song “Angelito.”

In 2007, Don received the Billboard Latin Music Award for Reggaeton Album of the Year debuting King of Kings and recognized as the biggest success of a decade in Latin America, selling over 4.1 million copies by the end of 2009.

Later in 2008, Omar participated in Gilberto Santa Rosa’s presentation where he met weather forecaster and journalist Jackie Guerrido and married her on April 19, 2008, however their related didn't last for long and divorced after two years.

Again, Don Omar released, Meet The Orphans on November 16, 2010, featuring the artists under Don Omar’s Orfanato Music Group. The album collaborated with Orfanato Music Group, later the song played for the legendary movie The Fast Five.

Omar's,  MTO2: The New Generation was released on May 1, 2012, featuring new artists Natti Natasha and many artists.
