Donald Trump and Marla Maples Divorced after 6 years of relationship having a daughter Tiffany Trump

The frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination of the United States of America, Donald Trump’s second wife is Marla Maples. When Trump married Maples, it became a sensational news as Trump had left his first wife Ivana in order to be with Maples. However, Trump’s relationship with Maples also could not last longer. They tied the knot in 1993 and divorced in 1996. They also have a daughter together.

Trump and Maples' relationship was one of the highly publicized relationships. They tied the knot in the Plaza hotel, New York in December 1993. Their wedding ceremony was attended by 1000 guests. Donald and Marla have a daughter Tiffany Trump together who was born on 13th October 1993. Even though Trump and Maples looked perfect together, some things went wrong between them. Thus they separated in May 1997 and later got divorced in 1999.

Marla recalls her past and says: "I just think the first moment I met him, I had a sense like I had known him before. It was much deeper than just whatever you might feel. We had a sense of like, if you believe in past lives or you don't, it was as if we did know each other. It was oddly like family."

You will be amazed to know that the ‘Dancing with the Stars castoff’, Marla still has feelings for Trump. When she was asked about what went wrong between her and Trump, she said: "Well, he and I … were so different, as you could probably imagine, "She further added: "He came with his positive ability to see the world, make money, get out there." In contrast, Maples was just an emerging actress who fell in love with Trump while he was still married to his first wife Ivana.

Donald Trump and Marla Maples' relationship did not work out

Maples further said: "I think you always hope in a marriage that you can bring the best out in each other. But after many years, we realized we weren't. And then, you have to move on. You know girls when we're in our twenties. We want to change the men we're with, we think that love is going to make them a little softer, and you think, 'I will learn how to speak out stronger for what I believe in.' Because I'm a Southern girl and I often just smile and keep on going. But I have my own thoughts and my own views, and it's time now to express them."

Marla says that her opinions did not match with Trump’s, that’s why they failed to clear the misunderstanding between them. She says: “He's the father of my child. I do not want to speak negatively about him. But do we agree on everything? Absolutely not. We would still be married if we did."
