The couple has known each other for several years and were just friends for years before getting in a relationship. Dorinda revealed on how she met her now boyfriend, John in an interview with OK! Magazine in 2015. She said,
I met him (John) initially through my late husband [Richard Medley] at a private club in the city.
She further mentioned that her relationship with John was a formal type,
See him at this little club and say hi and have a drink, and he was always nice.
Dorinda revealed that friendship was the way to their current relationship. Now it's been four years that the couple been dating each other and their relationship is a full-blown relationship already. And recently the couple were seen spending some splendid time together in the Bahamas.

After the divorce, Dorinda was a single mother, however, copping up with every situation the TV star found her love once again in the name of Richard Medley, a fund raiser/financial advisor.
Dorinda moved to New York from London after the divorce and that is where she met her second husband, Richard. And in no time the couple was totally smitten in love with each other and on October 15, 2005, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony.
