In 2016, it was seen that the rapper Drake pointed at her and made a heart sign with at the Toronto Raptors game. According to Burke, she didn't believe that happened and looked back to see if it was for any other girl but, when she turned back to him, he again did the same thing. 

For the next game, Drake followed Toronto's game and had Burke's face printed on his Tees. When asked, he responded that he was a big fan of Doris and wanted to invite her to dinner "as long as she came alone". Even though Doris tweeted that the dinner is on, she never met him for such reasons. 

Doris told a media outlet that she had to do a shout-out to Drake for adding extra fun to her life. She also added that it was a lot more fun for her a few weeks at least.
