Eddie Murphy's 10th Child Will Be a Baby Boy: Pregnant Girlfriend Paige Butcher Announces the Gender

Seeking Blue! Last month, it was reported Eddie Murphy was expecting his 10th child and now his pregnant girlfriend Paige Butcher has announced the gender of the upcoming baby; it's a boy.

The expectant lady told TMZ on Friday, September 14, "It’s going to be a boy". When asked if the latest addition to the family will be named after his father, she said, "Possibly. I don’t know"

The actress, 39, also expressed her and her boyfriend's eagerness to welcome the baby. Paige, who showed of her growing baby bump while speaking with TMZ in Los Angeles, said,  "Today is a good day".

As previously reported, on August 28, a representative for the comedian, 57, confirmed the expecting news in a statement to Us Weekly.

The rep said at the time, "Eddie Murphy and longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December."

Just a day earlier, the proud mom, for whom this will be the second baby (already shares a daughter, Izzy Oona Murphy, 2, with Eddie), debuted her massive bump in Beverly Hills.

The comic actor has eight other children from his previous four relationships.

His first child, son Eric Murphy, 29, - born in 1989 - is from his ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely. Eddie welcomed his second child, son Christian Murphy, 27, with former girlfriend Tamara Hood in 1990.

He and his ex-wife, Nicole Mitchell Murphy, who were married from 1993 to 2006, have five kids, Bria Murphy, Bella Zahra Murphy, Miles Mitchell Murphy, Shayne Audra Murphy and Zola Ivy Murphy together.

The Shrek star shares daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown, 11, with Spice Girls member Mel B.

Paige and Eddie are dating since 2012.
