Elena started playing tennis at the age of seven in the Sochi school during the sports season. Following she got a chance to play tennis in the qualifying tournament of Giza Egypt in October 2000 and she played well before missing the three sets of matches.
Vesnina is one of the highest ranked players during her career in 2008 to 2011. In May 2012 She started a regular partnership with Ekaterina Makarova and led her team to the top position during the season.
Elena is the Four-time winner of Grand Slam champion in double player's competition, including the 2013 French Open, 2014 US Open, and 2017 Wimbledon Championship tournaments with Ekaterina Makarova, and the 2016 Australian Open mixed double with Bruno Soares.
