Elon Musk was born as Elon Reeve Musk on 28 June 1971, to a South-African father Errol Musk, and a Canadian mother Maye Musk in Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa. He attended Waterkloof House Preparatory School and later graduated from Pretoria Boys High School and moved to Canada.
He joined Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, for undergraduate study. He further moved to California and joined Stanford University at the age of 24.

Musk and his brother, Kimbal, began Zip2, a web software company, which developed and marketed an Internet "city guide" for the newspaper publishing industry. He co-founded the online financial services and e-mail payment company named X.com.
A year later the company merged with Confinity, which was later renamed PayPal.Musk further founded SpaceX with the long-term goal of creating a "true spacefaring civilization." The company develops and manufactures space launch vehicles with a focus on advancing the state of rocket technology.
NASA awarded SpaceX a contract to continue the development and test of the SpaceX Falcon 9 launch vehicle and Dragon spacecraft in order to transport cargo to the International Space. Musk representing Tesla is recently taking on strategic advisory roles with President-elect Donald Trump.
Taking a look at his personal life and affairs, his relationship history is a bit complicated. Musk married his first wife Justine Wilson, a Canadian author after dating for several years while both were students at Ontario's Queen's University. The couple's first child Nevada Alexander Musk died of SIDS at the age of ten weeks.

The couple later had twin sons in 2004 and triplets in 2006 through in vitro fertilization. After eight years of their married life, the couple ended their relationship in divorce. After his divorce, he was seen dating the English actress, Talulah Riley and got married in 2010. Musk further announced ending his relationship with Riley in 2012. The couple again remarried and the couple again got divorced in 2016. He is currently single.
