Emmet flood is an American attorney. He also has served under top government officials in different administrations, including former president George W. Bush's Administration, Bill Clinton's, and former Vice President Dick Cheney'a.

Emmet Thomas Flood IV, an Illinois native seems to be born in the early 50’s however his birth date is not yet revealed. Emmet attended Fenwick High school in Oak Park, Illinois and graduated from there in 1974.

He then enrolled in the University of Dallas where he did B.A. and got his M.A and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1981 and 1986. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1991.

He was a fellow at Wesleyan University for Andrew W. Mellon Foundation from 1987 to 1988, where he delivered a seminar entitled ‘ Some Uses of Narrative in the History of Philosophy: Synoptic Judgment and Philosophical Plot’.

Flood, the veteran D.C. lawyer, is currently working as the new lawyer for Donald Trump. He also represented Bill Clinton during his impeachment process. He was also a law clerk for Ralph K. Winter on the United States Court Of Appeals for the Second Circuit and also for the Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia before he joined Williams & Connolly.

Emmet served for two years as the lead lawyer for the White House’s counsel office during Bush’s second term handling inquiries from congressional investigators.

Flood, in response to Wilson v. Cheney, represented Dick Cheney in private practice in a civil suit filed by Valarie Plame. Flood also represented Hillary Clinton on matters related to the Clinton email controversy.

Flood was offered a job in the Trump administration in 2017, although he denied, later in March 2018, Flood met President Donald Trump in the Oval Office to discuss the White House’s response to Special Counsel investigation.  

On May 2, 2018, it was reported that flood will replace Ty Cobb, who worked in the White House representing Trump since 2017.

Flood also served on the Advisory Council of the Catholic Charities Legal Network.

Flood is a married man and is blessed with children but due to his busy schedule, he is not seen spending time with his family. As a high profile person serving his duty for The White House as Attorney makes him keep his personal detail confidential.
