When GOT revealed that list of directors who will reoccur in the Season 7, it shocked quite a lot of fans as Sapochnik’s name wasn’t there. When asked, Sapochnik’s revealed that he is taking a little break but there are slight chances that he will be back as he said:
“I’m getting a little breather, but hopefully I’ll be back,”

During an interview, Sapochnik revealed that the GOT was shot in natural sunlight. It got quite tough as the videos he shot in morning and afternoon was different as the sun rises from the east and sets from the west. He also revealed that the whole schedule was often changed to adjust along with the sun’s position.
