At the beginning of his career, Greg Sutton played as a goalkeeper for the St.Lawerence University. He won the 2004 A-League, United Soccer Leagues First Division season with his team. Greg then returned to Major League Soccer with the Toronto Football Club for the 2007 season. He played as a goalkeeper until he received a head concussion during CONCACAF Gold Cup training with Canada in June.
The following season, Greg Sutton signed with the New York Red Bulls and made his league debut for New York recording a 1-0 shutout over his former club Toronto football club. After that, Greg started the season with the New York Bulls as a goalkeeper in the Major League Soccer, MLS.
In total, Greg has played fifty career games in MLS including 48 starts, totaling 4,432 minutes. Likewise, Greg has a record of 14 wins, 21 losses, and 15 ties.
