Stefani was born as the second child of parents Dennis Stefani and Patti Flynn. Her father Dennis was a marketing executive for Yamaha whereas her mother Patti was an accountant turned homemaker. She was raised by her parents along with her siblings Eric, Jill, and Todd. Her parents were who introduced her to folk music and numerous artists like Bob Dylan and Emmylou Harris.
At the beginning of her career, Stefani developed her interest in musicals such as the Sound of Music & Evita. Later, she joined Loara High School in Anaheim, California. She made her stage debut at the Loara High School to sing "I Have Confidence," from The Sound of Music.
In 1987, Stefani graduated from high school and was enrolled at Fullerton College before transferring to the California State University, Fullerton. She began working as a vocalist for her brother, Eric’s band, No doubt. After working several years for this band, she released a self-titled album along with her band member which become unsuccessful.
Later, Stefani began her solo pop career and released her debut studio album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby, which became both critical and commercial success. The album includes numerous popular songs including "What You Waiting For?", "Rich Girl", and "Hollaback Girl". Among them "Hollaback Girl" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and become first US download to sell one million copies.
After a couple of years, Stefani released her second studio album, The Sweet Escape. "Wind It Up" and the album's title track "The Sweet Escape" became a very popular single of this album. She also released her third solo album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, which became number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
Stefani is an American by nationality and belongs to white ethnicity. Stefani married her longtime boyfriend, Gavin Rossdale after dating him for a few months. The wedding was conducted in St Paul's, Covent Garden, London. The couple is blessed with three children, Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, and Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale.
However, Stefani was unable to continue her married life with her husband Gavin and divorced on April 8, 2016. After a divorce from her spouse, she began dating her new boyfriend, Blake Shelton. The couple seems happy in their relationship and has shown no sign of separation. Previously, she had an affair with Tony Kanal, a British-American musician.

She has also appeared in numerous movies and television shows from which she must have collected a huge amount of money.
