Hoda Kotb, who was born in Norman, Oklahoma, United States of America to A.K. Kotb and Sameha Kotb, was raised in Morgantown, West Virginia and Alexandria, Virginia. She is an American as well as Egyptian and is of Egyptian descent.

1982

Graduated from Fort Hunt High School

Since her childhood days, she was enrolled at Fort Hunt High School. An enthusiastic girl with assiduous nature, Hoda Kotb took part is several extra programs while she was there. And finally in 1982, she graduated from there.

Soon after her high school graduation, she joined Virginia Tech and majored in broadcast journalism. As her childhood dream was also being a journalist, she finally completed her Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism in 1986.
