Barrett was born on September 16, 2002, in Perth, Western Australia, Australia, to father Shane Barrett and mother Jen Barrett. She has one sibling, a sister named Chelsea Barrett.
She first made an appearance on the world premiere of the play Fatal Attraction, which was written by James Dearden and directed by Trevor Nunn. It was premiered at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, in London.
