Jessica Diggins is the first American cross-country skier to win the first-ever gold medal at the Winter Olympics in women's team sprint along with her partner Kikkan Randall in 2018. The duo also won another gold medal in the team sprint which they won in the World Ski Championship 2013 which was held in Val di Fiemme.

In 2014, she entered the U.S. Winter Olympics and got into the 8th place in her first event. Later, after a year, she grabbed the silver medal in the FIS Nordic World Ski Championship in the 10km freestyle race in 2015. The same year, she was at the 8th place in the overall ranking in the 2015/2016 World Cup.
